Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Thanks for reading HolidayHealth. This policy sets out how we deal with personal information under the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles (IPPs), and what you can ask of us.
1. Who is responsible
Personal information collected through holidayhealth.co.nz is handled by the HolidayHealth editorial team, led by Annabel Kerridge. You can reach us at info@holidayhealth.co.nz.
2. What is collected when you browse
If you only read the site and do not contact us, we receive just the details your browser sends automatically. They are needed to show you the pages and to keep the site stable and secure:
- your IP address
- the date and time of the request and your time zone offset
- the page requested and the HTTP status returned
- the amount of data transferred
- the page you came from
- your browser, operating system, language and browser version
These details sit in our hosting provider's log files and are deleted automatically within 14 days, unless a security incident means they need to be kept longer.
3. Hosting
The site is hosted and protected by an external provider, and any personal information collected here is stored on that provider's servers. The provider acts only on our instructions and is contractually bound to keep the data secure and confidential. Its servers may be outside New Zealand; where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to make sure the information is handled in line with the IPPs.
4. Cookies
We use only technically necessary cookies, or none at all. Necessary cookies support basic functions such as security checks and display settings. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time or block them entirely.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on this site lead to online casinos. When you click one, the request first passes through our redirect address go.holidayhealth.co.nz and then continues to the casino. Along the way a cookie or URL parameter may record the referral so the partner can credit it to us. This costs you nothing, and it is how the site is funded. It never affects our scores.
6. Fonts and libraries
To show text and layout consistently, some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and style files from a public content delivery network. Your browser connects to those servers to fetch the files, which means your IP address is sent to them. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for details.
7. Emailing us
If you email us, we keep what you send so we can answer your question and any follow-up. We do not use it for marketing and do not pass it on to anyone unless the law requires us to.
8. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (IPP 6)
- Correct information that is wrong, out of date or incomplete (IPP 7)
- ask us to delete information we no longer need
- deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where that is practical
- ask us to stop using your information for any direct marketing
- complain to us about how we have handled your information
To use any of these rights, email info@holidayhealth.co.nz. We reply within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
9. Security
Every page is served over HTTPS using SSL/TLS at the strongest level your browser supports. You can tell the connection is encrypted by the "https://" at the start of the address and the padlock in your browser.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy so that it keeps meeting legal requirements or reflects changes to the site. The version published here applies from your next visit.
